KOCHI: One of the four Supreme Court judges who made allegations against the Chief Justice of India, Justice Kurian Joseph said that they had stepped forward only to initiate an "institutional purification".
Justice Kurian Joseph is in Kochi to participate in the Silver jubilee celebration of the major archepiscopal status of Syro-Malabar Church at Mount St.Thomas at Kakkanad.

He expressed confidence that the issues raised by them would be resolved.

Stating that they stood up in the interest of "judiciary and justice," Justice Kurian Joseph rejected suggestions that they had violated discipline and expressed the hope that their actions will bring in more transparency in the administration of the Supreme Court.

Justice Joseph was speaking at his ancestral home in Kalady near here seeking his reaction on Friday's development.
